Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 8, 2026
This policy explains what information The Scrapper ("we") processes when you use the website.
What we collect
- Links you paste. The link is sent to our server to look up the video. Lookup results (title, thumbnail and stream links) are cached for up to 2 hours to make repeat requests faster, then deleted automatically.
- IP address. Used briefly to prevent abuse (rate limiting). Rate-limit counters expire after about a minute.
- Anonymous usage counts. We count page views, visits by country, device type and referring site, and how many videos are fetched per platform and quality. These are daily totals only: they never include your IP address, the link you pasted, or anything that identifies you. To avoid counting the same device twice in a day, your browser keeps today's date in local storage on your device.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs (time, requested path, status) for security and debugging.
We do not ask for your name, email, or an account, and we don't store the videos you download.
Advertising and cookies
The Scrapper is free because it shows ads. Our advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads and measure their performance, according to their own privacy policies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and many ad networks offer an opt-out.
Some links on the site may be affiliate links. If you buy something through them we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
Third-party services
The site uses Google Fonts to display text and is hosted by third-party infrastructure providers (Cloudflare and Render) who process requests on our behalf.
Children
The Scrapper is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example the EU/UK under GDPR, California under CCPA, or India under the DPDP Act) you may have rights to access or delete data about you. Because we keep almost nothing, most requests can be answered quickly — email contact@yourdomain.com.
Changes
We may update this policy; the date above shows the latest version.
